THE INTERACTIVE FAN FESTIVAL TAKES PLACE AUGUST 11 – 12, 2021

NEW YORK, NY, August 9, 2021 – PlayerCon, the first interactive festival to connect fans with their favorite NBA players off the court, announces the addition of NBA stars Jamal Murray and Tobias Harris alongside comedian Ghee. Participation by members of the 2021 rookie class including Cade Cunningham, Scottie Barnes, Alperen Sengun, Ayo Donsumo and Trey Murphy round out the growing lineup. 

Jamal Murray and a surprise fellow NBA player opponent will meet on the virtual court in the previously announced PLLAY®-Powered Gaming Experience. Hosted by popular comedian Ghee, the NBA2K 2-on-2 matchup will feature a fan paired alongside each player in a showdown that promises to be one to watch. People can register for their chance to play in the tournament by visiting NBPA.COM/PLAYERCON.

Fresh from the draft, Cade Cunningham, Scottie Barnes, Alperen Sengun, Ayo Donsumo and Trey Murphy are featured in 21 Questions Presented by Dapper Labs & NBA Top Shot. Fans can get to know the rookies through a series of rapid-fire video interviews, then enter a trivia challenge based on their knowledge for a chance to win NBPA merch. 

In addition, Scottie Barnes, Franz Wagner, and Josh Primo will appear in a limited edition NFT collectible by Dapper Labs exclusively for PlayerCon. All PlayerCon pass holders will receive the exclusive gift. 

NBA Top Shot and parent company Dapper Labs are the presenting partners of this year’s PlayerCon with PLLAY® and Rares™️ joining as supporting partners.

Previously announced participants for the two-day, virtual experience include NBA players Bogdan Bogdanović, Marvin Bagley III, Carlos Arroyo and Josh Childress; Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas; entrepreneurs Chamillionaire and Gerome Sapp; music producer Hit-Boy and music executive Lenny S.

Single Event passes are $19 (plus fees) and All-Access Passes are $29 (plus fees) for the two-day package. The first 450 fans to purchase All-Access Passes will receive a Limited Edition PlayerCon t-shirt. Passes for the PLLAY®-Powered Gaming Experience are available for FREE with registration.

NBA Top Shot will be sending 100 Community members to PlayerCon. These Community members will be provided entry into co-viewing suites, player meet and greets, autographed prizes and more. Additionally, Community members will receive access to an exclusive meet and greet with Bogdan Bogdanović.
