Powered by Pro Skills Basketball, the NBPA x Five-Star Virtual Basketball Camp will take place from July 19-21 and will feature NBPA members such as Buddy Hield, Kyle Kuzma and John Wall

NEW YORK, NY, July 16, 2021 - The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) and Five-Star Basketball announced today that they will collaborate again this summer to host a 3-day virtual basketball camp. The NBPA x Five-Star Virtual Basketball Camp will take place from July 19-21 and will provide boys and girls ages 9-17 with a structured basketball learning experience designed to develop campers’ skills both on and off the court from the safety of their own homes.

The camp will include:

Daily 2.5-hour virtual training sessions led by experienced NBPA grassroots coaches, skill trainers and NBPA members

Financial literacy and life skill sessions for campers of all ages

Exclusive NBPA kits which include an NBPA branded mask, SLAM Magazine, 16.9 fl oz Barcode sports beverage and an NBPA x Five-Star uniform presented by Champion Athleticwear

Sponsors of the NBPA x Five-Star Virtual Basketball Camp include, NBA 2K, Barcode, the official hydration partner for NBPA grassroots, Champion Athleticwear and J-Sleeve.

“We are really excited to once again provide a virtual platform alongside Five-Star Basketball where campers can come together with our players to sharpen their skills both on and off the court,” said Chris Jean, Senior Director of Grassroots Basketball & Events for THINK450, the for-profit arm of the NBPA. “Every summer, we have found different ways to provide unique basketball experiences for our NBPA grassroots community and we look forward to getting started in July and growing our network of campers, coaches and skill trainers.”

“Summer basketball was always a staple for me growing up and a great way to improve on the fundamentals of the game," said John Wall, an alumnus of the Five-Star Basketball camp. "I look forward to being a part of this camp and working with the NBPA and Five-Star to help these young players take their game to the next level.”

"When you train hard, it's important to hydrate and replenish your body appropriately,” said Kyle Kuzma, an NBPA member and Co-founder of Barcode. “Barcode is a healthy alternative to what's out there. I wish I had something like this when I was a kid, which is why we partnered with the NBPA to help the next generation of grassroots basketball."

“We're giving "work from home" a new meaning this summer. No matter the place or platform, the teaching never stops,” said Peter Robert Casey, CEO of JDS Sports, the owners of Five-Star Basketball. “We couldn't be more excited to team up with the NBPA and its talented trio of members - John Wall, Kyle Kuzma, and Buddy Hield -- to deliver a best-in-class learning experience in an action-packed virtual format.”
