NBPA Hosts Annual NBPA Post Up Party, Now Open to Fans

Launched in 2022 as an invite-only podcast party hosted by Matt Barnes, this year, the NBPA Post Up will be a ticketed event, enabling fans to join athletes, celebrities, and brands in celebration of players' off-court passions

NEW YORK, NY, June 9, 2023 – The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) announced today that it will sell 450 tickets to its previously invite-only NBPA Post Up party, to be held at Illuminarium in Las Vegas, NV, on July 9, 2023. As the only fan experience powered by the 450 members of the NBPA, the NBPA Post Up is an exclusive event designed to celebrate the players' off-court passions and bring together fans, athletes, celebrities, and brands all in one place.

In addition to the live recording of the NBPA’s podcast hosted by Matt Barnes, co-host of the All the Smoke podcast, this year’s NBPA Post Up party will feature a special guest host and a surprise musical performance to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop. With NBPA members and special guests stopping by throughout the event, this podcast recording and exclusive event will give fans up-close and personal access to their favorite players and brands in a unique setting and bring the NBPA brotherhood to life through music, tech, style, and creativity.

The party will feature immersive experiences powered by Wilson, Mitchell & Ness, Sorare, NBA Top Shot, and others. Fans can win tickets to the event, along with “stage side seating,” by participating in NBA All-World’s The Go All Out Tour Presents: Viva LV All-World Takeover (check NBPA social media channels for details on how to enter). Attendees will also have an opportunity to try specialty cocktails and enjoy espresso martinis infused with Mutombo Coffee (a “coffee with a cause” brand that supports African female coffee farmers, co-founded by former NBPA Vice President Dikembe Mutombo). Exclusive, event-specific merchandise will be gifted to guests who purchase the “Champ” level ticket. Only 450 tickets will be available for sale for this event to maintain the intimate atmosphere. For those unable to attend in Las Vegas, the NBPA Post Up podcast will be streamed live exclusively in the GreenPark Sports app.

Fans can join the GreenPark community by downloading the app on iOS and Android.

“At the NBPA, we are always striving to elevate the game, and the evolution of the NBPA Post Up is a prime example of that, " said Que Gaskins, President of THINK450, the innovation & partnership engine of the NBPA. "Building off successful events in Las Vegas and Miami during Art Week, we wanted to create something exclusively for fans that brought them into the celebration of the brotherhood alongside their favorite players and brands. We are extremely excited about this year’s event and look forward to seeing it all come together in July.”

"Working with the NBPA and THINK450 continues to bring new opportunities for me and now also, for the fans of the players,” said Matt Barnes. “I am thrilled that we will be back in Vegas for the NBPA Post Up again this summer and that, this time, fans have the chance to join us for this unique podcast session and party that brings together all the best elements of basketball culture to celebrate the NBPA brotherhood."
